A Kiss and a Promise

Standard Wedding ceremony

Enjoy a simple, meaningful spiritual or non-religious ceremony that’s sweet and deeply personal. With A Kiss And A Promise, you’ll enjoy:

  • A Welcome and optional prayer to set just the right tone of romance, ambience and connection
  • A short, sweet homily (where I speak about marriage) that reflects your deep love and commitment
  • An optional poem or reading that expresses your love
  • The intentions where you say “I do” to this lifetime commitment
  • Traditional vows where you recite your vows or declare your commitment to each other
  • The Ring Ceremony to bind your love with a promise
  • An optional closing blessing or prayer to honor your commitment
  • The pronouncement which is sealed with a kiss 
  • The introduction of your sacred union as newlyweds

This ceremony includes:

  • A telephone conversation where we’ll establish your language of spiritual love (Spiritual, Interfaith, civil or religious)  And we’ll clarify the exact details of your ceremony.
  • Easy-to-follow details about your marriage license so you don’t have to stress about the paperwork
  • Although this isn’t a custom ceremony, we’ll sprinkle beautiful details meant just for you

This original custom ceremony includes everything in A Kiss And A Promise Standard Wedding Ceremony, plus:

  • A homily that tells your unique story in a symbolic language that’s personalized for you as individuals and as a couple
  • Suggestions for readings, poems, songs or other rituals for your ceremony so it brings your love story to life
  • Guidance for writing your own vows so you can easily articulate the depth of your love
  • Suggestions for other rituals to include in ceremony that make your sacred union one-of-a-kind
  • One or two conversations (in-person or video teleconference) about your life exploring:
  • Your personal and shared history for a complete understanding of your story
  • Your love, thoughts, dreams and visions for your marriage
  • Everything that’s most important to you so your story unfolds flawlessly
  • A couples review and ceremony edit before the wedding so everything, from start-to-finish represents you
  • Warm guidance with the overall event structure such as the processional, vendor coordination and more (perfect if you don’t have a wedding planner or coordinator)
  • Witnessing of your license, ensuring it is returned to the county clerk within the required time frame

With this premium package, you’ll enjoy everything that comes with Your Love Story with additional “a la carte” options like:

  • Conducting or attending a rehearsal so your big day is absolutely flawless
  • A Blessing or Prayer at your Reception Dinner that sparks magic and inspires connection with your treasured guests
  • 1-2 hour coaching sessions with step-by-step guidance to write vows so your words are authentic, beautiful and accurately express your love
  • 1-2 pre-marital spiritual guidance so you begin your marriage with deeper connection and intimacy
  • 1-2 post-marital spiritual guidance (up to your 2nd anniversary) so your love, faith and connection evolves and continually deepens
